    Hello All,

I’ve been noticing lately that in some of our editors sequences, on certain transitions, I’m getting weird green artifacts. I’m rendering at highest quality, and it actually ends up on the tape too…

This occurs in both offline and online…

Anyone seen this before and know what the issue is?

I get this from time to time too, always assumed it was a compression problem due to a combination of the contents of the footage and the transition. Seen it using dvcprohd footage, hdv, and dv, most often on a flash or vapor across transition. Saw it just today on a vapor across transition when compressing a sequence for web output – it wasn’t in the sequence, but was in the compressed qt.

    I’ve had this happen before.

When rendering either from FCP or through Compressor, but only with 10-bit Uncompressed files.

For instance, if I have a sequence with a bunch of 8-bit clips and one 10-bit clip, the 10-bit will be rendered green.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.
