Bad combing in preview window
I captured VHS video using the s-vhs connector in a Hauppague HVR-1600 card which I guess does a sufficient job given the source material. It will never be great but it’s adequate for what it is.
When I look at the preview window, I see a lot of combing when I edit. I assume that this is because the video was interlaced on VHS and then recorded as a .ts file by the card. But I didn’t expect for really bad combing and teeth on playback in the preview window. In fact, it’s much worse than just playing the video using a standard video player. Anyone else experience this? Is it normal? Using Vegas 12 and an nvidia 560 ti 448 card which has worked quite well so far.
