Backwards compatibility question
Is Vegas backwards compatible limited within versions and builds? or just versions? For example, can I open a project created with V.9c with v.9a?

Earlier versions can’t open later versions but the opposite has always worked for me.
In theory, any version can open a project created within that version.
Having said that, I have read about issues with opening projects created in later builds of Pro 9 with earlier builds of Pro 9.
My guess is that this is due to the features additions in later builds (for example, Photoshop layer import). -
I believe I have even opened a Vegas 9 file with Vegas 8 once, but it gave me a warning that some things (can’t remember exactly what)may not work. Danny Hays
