backup time with SDHC ??
I have a PC-winXP64 quadcore system, 4 GB RAM… 1 16GB sandisk ultra card takes about 1 hour to backup (without CRC checking!!)… I’m putting the card on a SD-dedicated slot on my system.. is this normal ?? will it be faster with the card on a USB adapter ?? hoping faster backup times !!

Two things that impact file transfer are bus speed and hard drive speed.
I’m on a MacPro 8 Core (dual 4) and with an Sandisk 12 in 1 to USB card reader I can transfer an Ultra 2 card at 2 times faster than real time with CRC on and 4 time faster than real time with CRC off (which I never do but tried just to measure the speed difference).
I can’t imagine how a built in reader would be slower than USB though.
