I’ve tried on many occasions to save my large project by using the “Copy media with Project” option, but each time it seems to reach 99% and then doesn’t go any further. Usually takes 3 hours plus to reach 99% as project is large, but it won’t reach 100%!! Has anyone else had this problem, I’ve tried leaving it for several more hours but nothing happens. It doesn’t lock up or crash, it still appears to be rendering. Unless it takes like hours and hours to complete that last 1%?

    Any ideas?

Ive never had that problem and frankly those waiting times you are
getting are definitely not normal…Clean up your system and defrag
your drives. Use the task manager and see if anything un-necessary
is running in the background also.
All that fault is not entirely Vegas.

Yeah it’s a weird one. It is a large project but then again I’m running a pretty powerful system too. Computer is very clean, dedicated as a Vegas workstation with fast raid system. Plenty of drive space, just doesn’t make any sense. Plus it’s a tease at 99%!

Try deleting unused media from the Project Media window.

I’ve tried that too, and I’ve repeated this exercise numerous times, always hangs on 99%. I just gave up and copied the entire directory which took 23 hours on a slow USB drive. But as I have audio files on other drives, it’s not a perfect backup.

If your motherboard has eSATA, you could hook up an external caddy and back up your directory at hard drive speeds when you copy the directory.

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 10e (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

Yeah I do have esata, that’s a good idea I’ve even forgotten about it. The only problem is that some of the music files I store on another drive so as a stand alone project it misses a lot of files. However it’s still a good back up for my raid. Thanks for the idea!
