    V.1 is the bottom layer.
    Put something on top of that (V.2) and you cover it up.

    Thanks, but I’m having trouble making a background.. which I assume is simple.
    I go to view-background and add a color but it adds the color to the same clip as my logo and then that only plays back in black.

    Make sense?

    Make sure you are view RBG and image + wireframe is checked in the drop down box in your canvas. It’s the drop down on the top, third from the right.

    Scott:

    V2 should be your logo
    V1 should be a Color Matte (found underneath the generators in the effects tab or underneath the “A” on the viewer.”

    Get the Color matte on your timeline, 2x click it, go to the controls tab in the viewer and change the color to whatever you want.
