Background of squares options
I got some preliminary layouts from an art director, the background is made up of equal sized squares. These are 10 colors of the same logo, in 10 SLIGHTLY different shades of greys, cool and warm. For arguments’ sake, the grid is 10×7. SD project.
This background will likely be stationary, but the client wants the individual squares to cycle through all the colors. This needs to be random, should not look like a loop.
My first thought was to try and set up a blocky fractal noise and add Colorama with all the greys, and let it cycle.
Another thought is rows of hard-edged gradients and cycle Colorama through those. The whole grid could be setup so the greys are mixed up, not lined up sequentially by percentage of grey. This would help make it random, I think.
Any other thoughts? I of course want to avoid manual methods with a gazillion layers, I need something I can implement and change quickly. BTW I can handle some SIMPLE expressions!
Thanks!
Have a wonderful day.
