I know this isn’t really a FCP question, but can someone tell me how I can remove background noise from my project, after I bring the audio into Soundtrack? I thought I heard there was a solution to this issue.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi mark,
Without listening the audio is difficult (for me) to give you any advice. There are some background noises that are more or less easy to hide. Some others are imposible.I would suggest you to have a look to the Ken Sotne and the LAFCUG web sites where you can find information about how to use the FCs Audio filters.
    Cheers,

in soundtrack set your noise print of the background noise you want to reduce (you probably wont be able to completely remove it) you can then reduce the sound of that noise. It is in the manual, do a search in the PDF version.

One other note depending on what the background noise is it may not reduce very well.

Also do a search on the Sound track forum I am sure that this have been covered there several times.
