How might I go about setting the background in Sony Vegas to clear? You can do it in some adobe product and some instructions told me to do that to put in a clip, and vegas does not reconize it as behind green screen like it should. What can I do?

You mean like a green screen? How about the Chroma Key filter?

Vegas default setting of a clip placed on then timeline is alpha . You need to right click and st the setting to premultiplied or premultiplied (dirty) so that the alpha (transparancy) will be working.
