back-up folder
Need to move external raid with FCP X libraries and original media to another computer. Simple as unplugging the thunderbolt raid. But FC does leave behind a back-up folder with some files in it. Can I just copy this to the raid or leave behind and they will be recreated? I really don’t want them on the system drive at all. This is a lab with many users and I want each end user’s work self-contained in their private folder. I know where they are saved can be changed in FC preferences. But how can I have each of these back-ups saved where each of the end users folders are kept not at a fixed central location.
Each end user’s files will be kept in a sparse image with all their work. Thus their work will be unmounted when others are logged in. Can a particular library’s back-up be assigned a specific location?
