Does anyone know a simple way to get rid of Quicktime 7.2 so I can put on QT 7.1.6? The guys at Apple said no, and that I needed to install OS 10.4.8 and slowly put on the updates I needed on all the apps to get the QT I need.

    System is a G5 Intel Quadcore 10.4.9
    4gig Ram
    Running Avid 2.7.3 on a Unity 5.0

    They are correct.

Quick time is not like any other application it is integrated into the OS. When ever QT is updated it essentially updates part of the OS.

The only way to go backward is to archive and install the OS and then update everything that except quicktime.

What problems are you having with QT 7.2
