Thanks for all this Marianna. My only remaining question…Is avid going to contact us when it becomes close to the time to re up our support? I upgraded to 8 sometime in the summer, but would hate to find out next August that it ran out 1 week previous.
That’s exactly what happened with my fusion license when 7 came out. my support ran out 2 weeks prior, and I received no notice to re up my subscription. Not a big deal there because they let you pay the re-up price pretty much anytime, but Avid is saying if it expires you have to start over again.
Its pretty easy in this industry to lose track of time and licenses…especially when we are dealing with multiple machines, and differet software.
