wow… what a load of BS. Either you have never used DS or you have not used it for long enough.

    .- HUH????

“Avid DS is a really good editor.”

.-Well , if You dare to call DS a good editor and really don’t know about Avid MC…

    What could I expect?

AVID put some of their interface on it, not long ago. But the REAl duty for the DS is NOT editing. On this is no better than a Media Composer or even an Xpress.

“And btw, FCP does have a great titler, it’s Boris Title 3D and it’s been included for a while now. It doesn’t let you see the background when typing, but who really cares except in discussions like this one…”

.- Well, I care. I don’t like to type blindly. With Avid’s marquee you have the same features (and more) , and

Surprise!!! you can SEE THE BACKGROUND.

The FCP’s titler is the only one titler that you can’t see the backgroun when you are typing.

While this would be OK for a lousy $10 NLE, It is not for a “superb Avid buster” NLE, like FCP pretends to be.

The color correction in FCP is very poor.

There is no Media management in FCP, which is CRUCIAL.

For long, complicated projects with multiple versions, bins and sequences and no time, this is a MUST.

that’s why AVID is the undisputable King in TV stations, large production Houses and, mainly, News.
    Nobody else come close.

The Multicam implementation in FCP doesn’t even lit a candle to the Avid one.

And I’m yet to see a good (INCLUDED) stabilization in FCP, like the one in Avid (“Shaky Video”, does it rings a Bell?).

I really can’t comprehend what’s the hype about FCP, It’s about the same to Premiere Pro, and people thinks Premiere is crappy.

I work (for money) with an FCP 5.0.4 in a “non plus ultra” top end G5 and the feature I see the most is the “Beachball”.

And I prefer Premiere. At least, a much Better titler.

I am amazed at the juvinile babble that is coming from you for someone who came on here and started by saying how old you are, and how long youve been around…its really hard to take anything you spew out seriously……I will refrain from stooping to your level…and wish you all the luck in the world as an “Avid” editor…..I will go back now and keep working on my feature, onlineing on a DS, that will be out in over 4000 theaters in Dec…..and it was of course cut on an Avid Media Composer…..I think everyone here is starting to see your true colors……as I can tell from the responses your getting…..are you really 12 and pretending to be older and wiser…..

“I am amazed at the juvinile babble that is BLA BLA BLA BLA…… BLA BLA BLA….cut on an Avid Media Composer…..I think everyone here is starting to see your true colors…… BLA BLA BLA as I can tell from the responses your getting…..are you really 12 and pretending to be older and wiser…..”

.- Is very easy to talk cr”p and ofend without arguments, explanations or pointing errors, like you are doing.

    Anyone can do that.

I’m yet to see one single, MATURE and concrete argument (anything better than ” I love my FCP and you don’t know nothing” ) coming from You.

I didn’t insult You in the first place, You were the one who took it personally , saying that I didn’t know what I was talking about” because I criticize (with arguments) FCP, a simple tool, Like AVID, OFFICE or any other.

Is that your concept of “MATURE”???

    That’s very sad.

And You are acussing other person to “take it personally and being inmature”!!

“Don’t mess with my “god” FCP, you “Mr. Know-nothing”

    PLEEEAAAASE!!!

Well , what can you expect from someone who thinks that a Titler in which you can’t see the background beneath and doesn’t have Border nad Shadows within is a good Titler.

    With that kind of expectations…

“I will go back now and keep working on my feature, onlineing on a DS, that will be out in over 4000 theaters in Dec”

.- OH! I didn’t know there was a “Teletubbies” Movie.

.- Thanks god you are making your “BIG MOVIE” with AVID systems (OOOOH!! I’m so impressed!!)

With FCP you’d be finishing it in DEC 2153.

BTW, Why you didn’t make it in FCP, if it’s that good????

“are you really 12 and pretending to be older and wiser….. ”

.- BUUUJUUU!! I’m 12 years old and my movies are not screened in over 4000 theaters!!! BUUUJUUU!!!

That’s what I call “MATURE”, Oh Yeah!!

.- So what, “Mr. Big Feature Editor”??

My “Gameboy” is newer than yours, I have more games and I play better than You…
