After installation of the bundled ReelDVD LE Software i cant start ReelDVD.When i try to start the application it crashes with a BlueScreen everytime.I installed it on a Dell Latitude D810 with factory delivered installation. There is no chance to get it to work. But when i install it on another mashine with fresh installed OS it works fine .I think there is an incompatibility with a software installed on the dell .Maybe the record Now App? Any Tips ?

    Hi Martin,

it might be a problem with the new “Execution Disable” feature that the new generation of processors comes with. Check the BIOS if there is an option to disable that.
    It worked for me.

    Regards
    Johannes

This happens on most Dell’s. What you need to do are 2 things.

    1) Right click on “My Computer” > Properties > Advanced > Startup & Recovery .. Click on “Settings” and choose “edit” under it. This will open up a note pad with the below text:

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=”Windows XP Professional” /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn

change it to the following. Only the last bit “AlwaysOff”. A and O will be capital letters. No spaces inbetween.

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=”Windows XP Professional” /fastdetect /NoExecute=AlwaysOff

Then, save this file and close all the windows by accepting “OK”. Restart your machine.

    2) Right click on “My Computer” > Properties > System Restore > and “Turn Off System restore on all drives” and click on “Apply” wait for a while and click “OK” to the rest of the windows and close them all.

I would suggest a restart at this point too. Try this and let me know.
