Hi. I’m currently using Media 100, but have the opportunity to move to one of these other platforms. Any advice?

    Thanks.

Do a search on AVID Xpress and you’ll find lots of discussions in this forum about this very topic.

Short answer. It costs more to move up the AVID path than the FCP path if you migrate to higher quality inputs / outputs such as uncompressed SD / HD. FCP suites are replacing AVID suites by the dozen.

simple answer: FCP is definitely better, smarter and logical than avid. but little bit less fool-proofed.
