  Avid Xpress Pro PC project to Avid Media Composer Mac – Any gotchas?

  I’m setting up an Avid offline system for a client based on an iMac, media on a thunderbolt RAID system, using 8.4.5 on Yosemite 10.10.3.

  The client is taking an old long form doc that was cut on a PC version of Avid Xpress Pro (version not to hand – apologies) and wants to update it with HD / 4K material on the new system.

  Ignoring the obvious quality issues of mixing frame sizes and quality, will the MC system be able to pick up the old project without a hitch once the miedia is transferred – or are there gotchas I need to be aware of? It’s a simple project without plugins, with cut hard cuts, dissolves, simple titles and basic sound mix.
