Avid training DVDs
I was interested in getting an Avid training DVD to teach me the program. I am efficient in Final Cut Pro, but recently got a job where they only use Avid Xpress. Would love some help, but don’t know the best options. I hate following books because they don’t show you everything- I’ve seen some interactive DVDs before and would love a recommendation on one for Avid. Thanks.

You might try the Avid “Editing with Avid Xpress Pro HD” training DVD available from Avid. I’ve used this before and it’s not bad, basically the same material and exercises you’d get from going to the classes.
