Avid To Premier workflow with AMA
A client sent me a disk with his P2 images on it. I need to AMA these in, do a multicam edit, then export a file that he can take into premier 6, polish the edit, add graphics, etc.
So far everything works except I cannot export an AAF of the time line to send him because it says I can’t do that with AMA files??
However, if I ‘import the files’ that makes them DNxHD files and he won’t be able to use the AAF to link back to the original P2 files… What am I missing?

Never mind… missed that the AAF edit protocol button was not checked.
Works now

As you discovered, earlier versions of MC needed Edit Protocol active. I believe that went away in v7 and is no longer needed for AMA linked files.
