    HI,

    Recently I have installed Media Composer 6 on my PC. I get this error message “This file format (File Name )is not supported for import”. This happens to all the video and audio formats. I have installed latest version of quick time form apple, still its the same thing. I also have installed codecs from Avid site for quicktime but they dint work too. Can someone help me to fix the issue. Also I want to know what are the different codecs that are required to install to import .avi files and please let me know from where i have to download. I am entirely new to the post production vertical.

    This happens with quicktime files, wavs, mp3s etc? Or just AVI?

    This happens to all the audio and video formats… the only files that i could import in avid are the .jpeg files….
