    Hello,

I am currently running into an issue that is crashing AE CS4.

We ingested some video (green screen stuff) in Avid Symphony via our U1 device. Footage was shot in XDCAM HD and was exported from Avid using Avid’s DNxHD codec.. Exported as a Quicktime Movie..I import them into AE CS4 on a pre-made composition. Keying in AE and all that. When i jump to different sections, AE Crashes. Is it something that possibly the codec could be at fault? or is CS4 not up to par with DNxHD.

I tried working around this..tried using quicktime reference instead of quicktime movie, but avid doesn’t allow me to export saying Long GOP doesn’t work as a Quicktime Reference. I also tried importing directly from XDCAM the mxf into AE and that too crashes it as well.

    help!!!!!

    thanks.
    eddy.

forgot to mention that we’re working on Nitris DX running Avid Symphony.

and the footage is 1080i/59.94.. that’s all.

Are you keeping your Avid running at the same time?
Not sure about the new versions, but in the past it caused issues.
