Can anyone let me know what the advantage of getting an Avid Symphony Nitris vs Avid Media Composer Adrenaline. I know the HD Advantages but we are not ready for HD at this time that could change in 6 months but I need some solid reason for getting a Symphony Nitris rather than Media Composer Adrenaline. Basically justifiaction for something that is twice as expensive. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Symphony Nitris:
HD today as included, not an option. If you go HD in the future, SN lets you do uncompressed HD.
    Hardware-accelerated true RT effects.
    More advanced color correction.

    Adrenaline:

Solid performer. Cross-platform. Some interface lag reported, probably caused by FireWire based I/O (DNA) system.

Compare features and prices AFTER NAB, next week.

    Sincerely,
    Oliver

Thanks for the info I will be watching NAB closely this week. Hopefully some great news will be announced and in turn make this an easier sell for the Symphony Nitris.
