Avid subscription model means I lose boris?
I own Avid Media Composer 7 and BCC 8. Now Avid wants me to subscribe to upgrade to the latest version. So if I buy the support plan subscription for $300 per year, and I get the upgrade from 7 to the latest, will i lose avidfx (aka boris red)? Will BCC 8 plugin still work? Or must i upgrade that as well?

We recommend to upgrade to latest Boris versions to stay current but you should be able to run your existing software in MC8. Of course you’ll be missing any new features and bug fixes.

shouldn’t bug fixes be provided of “old” software or it would not be fit for purpose when purchased 😉
