avid scaling problem
I am using avid xpress pro 4.6 and i am trying to do some simple scaling in it and its jumpy and unusable. i have tried the resize as well as picture in picture. I have rendered them to no avail. Am i not doing it right or do i have to use adobe after effects and import them in?

After Effects
Avid hasn’t evolved their DVE since it’s introduction with MC version 5. You can get away with some things with it but because it tears the image up so much, you’ll always wanna have AE open and ready.

It really depends on how intricate you scaling needs to be, I have not had a problem so far with re-scaling manually using the FX panel, but for more precise work i have always have After Effects out ready.
