    Hi everyone,

Wondering if someone could offer me some insight into recreating a “boomerang” effect in Avid. I’ve been taking an action (whether it be .5sec, 1sec, etc.) and putting a timewarp on the clip to go from 100%-300%. Then I’m taking the exact same clip (starting at the same TC as the forward-moving clip ended on) and doing the reverse; however, it doesn’t seem to be perfectly duplicating the frames. The last frame on the reversed clip does not match the start frame on the forward-moving clip, and I’m typing in the exact same values and using the default curve.

Is there a way to achieve this look and getting the exact same frames to go forward / reverse at the same exact same speed?

You could create your time warped clip, do a video mixdown of it – then reverse the mixdown.
