Avid qualified work stations
Hey Ho Avidites!
I am currently running Xpress Pro 4.1.1 on an unqualified AMD system and I would like to upgrade to MC on a qualified system.
First, will I be able to do the upgrade onto another computer? Secondly, do I have to purchase one of these qualified workstations from HP or Dell, or can I have a system custom built for me according to the requirements listed on the Avid website. Will I be able to get Avid tech support if it wasn’t built by HP or Dell? Curious minds want to know, hhhmmmm?????Chaz Shukat

You should be able to get support as long as the system meets the minimal requirements. Yes you can do the upgrade from one workstation to another.
