At work I was given a quicktime file that was exported from an Avid Express Pro (windows) to bring into FCP 6 to edit. I installed the Avid codec in my quicktime folder as instructed, but I still get the “Unsupported frame rate” message. My system is a MacPro running 10.4.9 with 4 gb memory onboard. Any suggestions to bring in this QT file? Thanks

You can’t edit with Avid DV, etc… files natively in FCP. Open them in QT player and export as regular DV files.
