Has anyone of you found a way to convert projects from Avid to Premiere?

It works more or less fine between Avid 3.5.4 to APP2.0 when it is widescreen, exporting via EDL, but did not find a way between Avid Pro HD 5.6 to APP 2.0.

I have several HD projects done in Avid, but want to change to Premiere Pro 2.0 as I think it is more stable and quicker to work with. So for re-editing I need to convert it to APP 2.0 and digitize it with APP, that is the way I woul prefer. Any ideas?

    Thx a lot

Have you tried AAF ? (Export from AVID, import to Premiere).

No, AAF would not work as my Video is Offline in the timeline, or would it?

I think you would still get the references to all the clips used. You would probably have to re-digitize. I’ve only just started to explore the Avid->AAF->Premiere connection.
