I am a hardcore fcp editor, and I haven’t edited on Avid in years, but now I am using a avid pro system for a small projects, and I’ve got a strange problem

All of a sudden my timeline is very sluggish.. i do a simple task, and i end up having to wait for my computer.. It’s a quite small timeline.. and the project files are on a edit share server. I have tried duplicating the timeline.. copy the timeline into another project.. nothing works. Other projects works just fine.

Any idea what this can be ? Is there an easy way to find out what media is causing the problem ?

There are so many possible reasons for the sluggishness. What is it like working on media stored locally?

One thing that slows the timeline is having the waveform display switched on for audio tracks. This is very dependent on CPU speed.
