  Avid Projects is missing!

  Help!

  At the end of each day I make a backup of my AVID projects folder onto an external hard drive or two. This evening when I tried to make the backup, my mouse must have slipped or something and the Avid Projects folder didn’t seem to reach the icon of the external hard drive. When I looked around for the Avid Projects folder it had disappeared! So, feeling panicky, I looked around the desktop for it and looked around the other possible folders — nothing.

  I decided that it probably would reappear if I restarted AVID, so I booted it up. When it reached the stage of asking me which project to open, there were NO Projects in the folder. YIKES, I said to myself! What in the world has become of my AVID PROJECTS folder. It has always been in the Documents folder in the Finder.

  Any ideas??? Thank goodness I do have backups on the external harddrives, but they are dated yesterday afternoon. So, if I use one of them I will be losing more than a day of hard work.

  I would appreciate any ideas of how to proceed!!
