November 30, 2008 at 6:36 pmThe simple explanation of my project is this- I’m shooting a project for a big public television shop. That shop is a big FCP user. But I have Avid Media Composer on my laptop for offline. The offline will be very straightforward. And I just want to move my sequence as painlessly as possible to the FCP system for color correction, titles, effects. The CMX 3600 EDL has been recommended and is certainly something Avid can do.
Thanks for the many recommendations that have included dumping Avid and moving all my work to FCP. And thanks for the memories of some of the painful ways we used to edit.
And oh by the way, I’ve got a very nice Convergence ECS-195 in the basement. And the 3/4″ machines to go with it. Haven’t been turned on in years. But there are some things you just can’t let go.
