Avid Premiere workflow
I am trying to establish a workflow to perform offline editing in Premiere and online with Avid Media Composer or Symphony. Ideally, the capture will also be done on the Avid prior to transfer to the Premiere station. Can anyone point me to a reference document that describes a similar workflow, or have experience integrating the two platforms?

You will need to work with AAF exporting/importing. Offline version of workflow will need to be pretty much cuts. Fades might come through, but safer to get a cut based edit and AAF that. Using the Opacity and Audio Levels fades will come through. Keep the cutting to single video layer as much as possible. You can use more, but be sparing. Don’t know how the OMF style of capture works with Avid then being used with PPro (uses avi/mov). Need to look at that a little more. Good Luck.
