  AVID Out of Proc Quicktime App has stopped working

  Hi I’m working on Media Composer 9 on my PC. The project in 1080p 25 FPS. The ingested footage is h264 from Canon 7D AMAed into DNXHD 120 for the edit.

  Here’s the thing. I can export out windows media and avi but when I export as QuickTime Movie, uncompressed or any compressed (I tried .h264) — AVID crashes after an error message “AVID Out of Proc Quicktime App has stopped working”. I haven’t had any problem ingesting or during working.

  I have updated, uninstalled and reinstalled quicktime but it doesn’t make any difference. I’m running a Windows 7, 64 bit OS on a dual core, 4 GB RAM.

  Any thoughts how I could fix it? Much appreciated.
