    I purchased AVID media composer in 2016 version 8.5.3, I recently updated my computer to MacOS High Sierra 10.13.3.
    I’ve also been working off a drive that I’ve been moving from one computer from another (mine to a clients computer – been working on it for over 2 years, but only the last 2 months we have been using his computer. I can’t recall if I installed my Avid on his computer).

    Now my Avid is not responding When I try to open it and it reads
    Activated : – No options
    License Type : Node locked

    And in my applications manager it reads – not responding

    I can’t tell if the problem is due to an update or this recent back and forth with my client.

    Please help I need to finish this job.

    Media Composer 8.5.3 is not supported on that OS.
    https://www.alwaysediting.com/avid-high-sierra.html

    You’ll need to update if you want to keep that OS.

    Now It’s weird that you get an activation error, but it could be related. Was this a perpetual license, month to month or yearly?

    Contact Marianna at Avid forum.
    I had a similar issue with a licensed version.
    Used to happen a lot with our dongle.
    She can help you quickly.
