You’re changing the speed of the video and you want to know why you lose sync?

I’m going to answer this as straight-faced as I can, you need to change the speed of the audio to match. This can be achieved with limited success in Avid by using the digi audiosuite plugins. There is a time remapping plugin that can be used but if I remember correctly, you have to do some playing around or advanced math to figure out the appropriate offset.

Dude, give me some credit. I am also changing the speed of the audio, but the sync isn’t even close. In fact one audio track doesn’t stay in sync with the other audio track. I know of audio suite plugins for the Adrenaline, I will look into the audio suite plugins for the Nitrus. Thanks.

Sorry, I couldn’t tell from the original post, and some folks who post here… well….

You will have the same plugins as you have in the Adrenaline, but there is a time shift plugin there. The funny, (or not so funny in this case) thing is that the exact same plugin in ProTools works perfectly. just tweak with it and see if you an get there.

you will have to manually match your audio clip to the new duration of the video clip. Look at it’s duration and then when you apply your time compression filter, enter in that new duration.
