    Hello,

I was reading that some users were having trouble with the Avid MXF/AAF round trip workflows. Can anyone confirm if the issues have been solved and it work ok now?

Basically I would love to be able to export an AAF from my Avid (we are on version 4) with consolidated MXF DNxHD media. Then copy the media over to the Resolve and import the AAF. Will that work and the sequence will come up? If I render back to MXF media (with the DNxHD plugin installed) will I be able to get the clips and sequence back into the Avid? We want to render with some handles, so if we need to change any clips in the Avid, we will have that option.

Any specifics about limitations of AAF? Does it have to be just 1 video track? Do any of the simple transitions (dissolves, etc.) come through? How about resizes in the Avid? Will they come over into the Resolve session as well? I know that Color did a decent job of this with FCP through XML. Hoping the Resolve will work as well or better.

    Thanks so much.

    Hi Peter.
I cant seem to make it work.
When I import an AAF the clips are not in sync, the dissolves are not the same size and forget about speed effects.
So I back you up in your search of an AVID workflow that works.
