Avid Media Composer quits unexpectedly: Segmentation fault?
Hi, i’m working with Avid MC 2.8 at home and am taking lessons for the 305 effects course. The project file given to me has been crashing when i’m working in effect mode, key framing the paint effect. It displays this message:
“Segmentation fault” in thread “MainThread”, at address 0x0
Does anyone know what the problem is?

Don’t know what it means, but why not try creating a new project, duplicate your bins and move them into the new project and see if the error continues.
