I am going to work on a project where I need to load, label and sync a two camera shoot into a rented Avid Media Composer. It is the PC version, and I assume the software will be version 5.

The footage is tapeless XDCAM from two Sony EX-3 cameras.

Can anyone tell me what the workflow is for this?

    Thank you!

Were they shot on the EX3 where you can jam sync them or is there common timecode between the two sources?

I don’t know. What would the scenario be for both methods in post?

If the cameras has common timecode and were jam synced, then grouping can be done via common timecode on the START column. If there is no common timecode, then you will need to find a common sync point, add a MARK IN on both clips then group based on MARKS.
