Late to chime in but, will MC 3.0 on an imac work with HD footage?

Generally speaking, the iMac doesn’t add any issues. The limitations will be the same as with any other system. There are small ones, like processing speed for formats like HDV and H.264 – but the big question will always be drive speed. If your drives themselves can spin fast enough, your iMac should be fine.
