AVID Media Composer hard drive problems
Hello gentlemen, I am very fortunate I am still running my 9600 media composer running 7.1 software. I am using the tower with 4/50gig,2 36gig and the rest 18gig hard drives. I had not used the system for about 3 weeks and went to use it and the computer said that there was a problem with (what ever hard drive came up at the time). It said to check for data loss. I finally got the composer up but there was loss to my media. I tried to batch digitize but the error message kept coming up telling me there was a problem. I tried to play the timeline so I could make a dvd copy but when I would try to play the computer would freeze. I finally went into each hard drive and wiped out all media on the drives and tried to start over with no projects or media.
I tried to use the disk repair program but it said that nothing was wrong then it said that it could not be repaired. Im lost guys, does anyone have any ideas? I thought I should restripe them but Im not sure how. I have dislexia so very bad. that is why my spelling so so bad guys. I dont mean to be stupid b ut I really cant help it.
