Does anyone know if there are any issues with dvcpro25 sdi and the adrenaline? It is doubling setup. We verified it is not the tape and setup is being passed through not adding more. Can’t seem to find any settings for the SDI input on the Adrenaline to make sure they are correct. It’s only occuring with the SDI feed into the adrenaline.

What deck are you using? What camera was it shot with?

Some Panasonic decks have the ability to cut or add setup. It also depends on how it was recorded as some Panasonic cameras give you options to add setup for DV25. This can be confusing at times.

The deck is AJ-D450 which has setup passing through not adding and the camera is AJ-D810P with it set to record with setup.

There is a setting in Avid (in General?) called ‘NTSC has setup’. Uncheck it to stop adding setup… (Sorry I can’t be more specific – I just flew in from Vegas, and boy are my arms tired…)

Jon I changed the setting in general that didn’t change the setup increase coming from the DVCPro SDI Feed. It did effect levels on the avid but not the ingetsing of the SDI. We had this similar problem with the Discreet Edit running the Matrox DigiSuite SDI. It didn’t work either. If you moved up to the DVCPro 50 everything worked great. I am coming to the assumption that there is an issue with DVCPro25 SDI. The story was from Matrox it is was a Panasonic problem and Panasonic said it was a Matrox Problem, finally moved to Analog Component and everything was great. Thanks for the info though. My next move will be to call Avid Tech Support.
