  Hello,

  I’m in the process of buying an mac for editing. I haven’t decided yet whether it will be on an i-MAC, MAC BOO PRO OF A MAC PRO. It will depend on whether I can use my software avid media composer 3.0 (academic) which I puchased some time ago. Will this software run on the mac or do I have to buy an expensive upgrade?
  And can you recommend me in buying which oomputer? I know that the mac pro is the best option but also the most expensive
