AVID MC performance drops during trimming
Hi everyone,
AVID MC 2018.12.2, the playback is solid and the software works pretty fine UNTIL I try to trim a clip in the timeline.
What happens is basically a huge performance drop as soon as I try to manually trim the clip in the timeline, looks like the software can’t handle the video, the clips gets trimmed one frame per time instead of reaching the position of the timeline cursor immediately.
The rest of the software works perfect, I doubt is a computational power lack. Can anyone tell me what can cause the problem?Thanks in advance

Are you using the Smart Tool or the trim mode? How long is the sequence?

Update to the latest version, a lot of bugs have been ironed out, there’s a memory leak in the version you mentioned (2018.12.3 fixes this). Causes all kind of problems when Media Composer is left for 30 mins or more
