AVID MC Minimum Required GPU Memory – stupid question???
Noob question, give it to me straight please.
My 2014 MacBook Pro has a current GPU Memory: 1536 MB.
The Minimum Avid MC required GPU Memory is: 2044 MB.Am I screwed here? Will Avid MC still work or do I need to go computer shopping? I understand you can’t update the graphics card on Macs.
My current setup is: 3 GHz Intel Core i7 / Memory 16 GB / Version 10.13.6

From what I’m learning, I need to grab a faster mac or expect crashes and lag.

I had an older MacBook Pro with the same GPU. It’ll work fine. Transcoding to offline res media…the typical Avid workflow, works great. It’s a tad sluggish if you try to work with AMA links to camera masters…so just transcode and you’ll be golden.
