    AVID MC Download issue

    Hi;
    I just purchased Avid MC 6.5 and was directed to download the program through their web site. After the program is downloaded, it comes up as a document file instead of the .pkg file it says to launch in the install guide. I am running MAC OS 10.8. Anybody have an idea as to what is going on?

    Did you download the PC version by mistake? I’ve done that.

    Thanks for the reply!

    I did download the Mac version. I found out all I had to do was attach .dmg to the end of the downloaded file name and the computer then recognized it as an installer. Go figure…..
