    Hi All,
I’m working on Avid Media Composer (software) on a Mac Pro. I’m capturing DVCPRO HD tapes from a Panasonic AJ 1400 deck, and am having some timecode issues. I’m capturing at DV25 MXF from a 3 camera shoot. The timecode recorded was time of day, so there are timecode jumps all over the place. When I log the material, and capture it in, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t find the timecode. I’m noticing that the deck often will “not see” the timecode jump, and then say it cannot find the clip. For example, I might capture something that starts at 11:20:00:00, and then the cameras were cut at 11:25:00:00. If the next clip starts at 12:20:00:00, the deck will try to fast forward as though there is 55 minutes between these clips, when, in fact, there is nothing in between them because cameras cut. It totally throws off the batch captures. Has anyone seen this before with either AVID or this deck? If so, please let me know. Maybe someone out there has a fix. Thanks Cows!
