  • Avid MC 6.0.3 and Blackmagic HD extreme issue!

    Hi there
Since avid released mc 6 I have had the same is using it with the BM HD extreme 3D card.
    Avid runs like a dog!

Just installed MC 6.0.3 hoping that the issue I have been having of avid mc 6 running to slow to use with the black magic Decklink HD Extreme 3D card was gone.

    Sadly it’s still the same.

    The issue
When in trim mode it still takes about 2 seconds to catch up on each trim I make.

And in color correction mode, moving around the timeline just stutters and pauses!

When turning hardware(blackmagic card) off with new hardware fuction on off button, the software runs perfectly.

Can anyone tell me if this will ever work smoothly or should I just go back to avid 5.5.3 and reinstall my matrox mini?

    Running Lion 10.7.4

    Blackmagic Desktop 9.5.3

    Decklink HD Extreme 3D

    With a quadr0 4000 gfx card.

    Cheers

Install the latest BM 9.6.1 drivers and the sluggish performance goes away.

Thjansk for your post Pete unfortunately it doesn’t
Still the same issues, after much research have found many people with this issue.
Someone at Avid needs to explain when this will be fixed.

If you ask Avid they will tell you that you have to pay a service fee and then after many hundreds of dollars they will tell you it’s a Blackmagic problem.
Then you enter a loop. Blackmagic will tell you its an Avid problem…. bla bla bla…

The only one that has a problem is the user because every one else has their money.

I am having the same issues with Avid/Blackmagic and capture/playout timecode accuracy. Seems it must be MY problem because I paid and can’t get a refund.

The latest update seemed to improve things for me.

Did you uninstall the old driver first using the provided Uninstaller?
