Avid MC 4.0.5 and Windows XP x64
I recently had a falling out with Vista – we got into a big fight and I swore I’d never speak to her again. After much wrestling with some XP pro CDs I had lying around, I ended up calling HP and they ended up sending me restore disks with Windows XP x64 on them. Media Composer is not “supported” by AVID under x64, but it was my best choice to install it at this point, and take the risk.
Now, I’ve installed my Mojo DX drivers and when I start Avid it says “VDM3_GlobalMisc_Concrete::PerformInitialSetup() Error [-16777164] unable to: mLegendVDM_Interface->SetBufferPoolsActiveState().”
Any way to avoid this from happening without re-installing Windows x32 and ALL of my programs?!
I’m running an HP z400.
