    Hi
I have been working with Media Composer 3.1.2 on a macbook pro os version 10.5.5 for several months with any problems. However I just bought an analogue mojo second hand and can’t seem to make it be recognised by MC. I have tried powering everything down and rebooting but I still get the message, ‘no avid dna detected’. I have connected the mojo to the macbook with a firewire 400 and have no other drives attached. Is this a firmware issue?
    Any suggestions much appreciated.

I’m not a mac guy, But I know the mojo auto updates it’s firmware depending on which version of MC your running.

when the mojo’s powered up and connected to an external monitor, are you seeing the mojo splash screen?

There did used to be an issue updating the latest firmware on a mac, you may need to update the firmware on a pc. But before doing that:

Make sure you are connected to the mojo using the 6 pin firewire. From a macbook, you would go 6 pin firewire to 6 pin firewire on the mojo.

Does the Host light lite up on mojo?
