Avid Keeps crashing
The stupid thing keeps crashing when I try to export a sequence to a quicktime. Any ideas. its an entire system you need to restart your computer kernel freak out type of crash.
Its an 867 power Pc G4 with 1.2 gb of memory. running MC 12.0
I’m begging please help

hmmm.
Rule out the Avid first. Try exporting only audio or only video from some newly created timelines.
If so, reinstall QT. Maybe a driver corrupted?
If not, reinstall Avid.If not, stand on hands and blow rasberries at it.

rasberries are so undignified. I was able to export a short piece today, but it seems to crash on anything larger than a couple of gig. Maybe I can seduce it with a bottle of wine and a cigarette…(the avid at my college needed an unlit cig on the desk or it would not work)

Check to see if your boot drive is close to full. That will cause a problem exporting and importing.
