  avid freezing – often

  working on avid symphony 6.0 with nitris dx- and its been doing this really aggravating thing lately – more and more, it is freezing up when I do anything – play, scrub, click on a clip in a bin – anything – no rhyme or reason to it – it happens about once a minute, and lasts about 10 seconds – that a lot of wasted time! ive tried creating new jobs, having only one bin open, I have plenty of space on the main drive and the shared drive, so that’s not the issue – im trying to keep the projects at their simplest level but nothing I do seems to make a difference – any ideas
